12 Projects for your Smallest Scraps

Did you realize you paid as much for tiniest scraps as you did for your yardage?  Don’t let those memory filled bits go to waste!  Here are 12 projects for your smallest scraps.  Fun and creative ways you can use your crumbs.

  1.  cute pincushions.  Whip up a bunch and not only use up your tiny scraps but have useful gifts to share with your quilting friends. 
  2. Ornaments and gift tags.  I use my crumb hearts for both.  They are adorable!  Add a homemade touch to your tree or package.
  3. Star points for your wonky stars.
  4. Legs and beaks for wonky birds.
  5. Add a pieced section to a zipper pouch.  Try a small block, coins or crumbs.
  6. Make a zippy mini pouch.  Personalize it by using novelty fabric
  7. Quilt as you go pot holder.  These use up small strips of various widths.  Bake up a storm or give as a gift.
  8. Mini oven mitts like the pincushions and zipper pouch are a fun way to sew up little blocks and add a special touch to a project.  
  9. Journal and book covers.  I like to have a few of these on had to share.  I use the grid style composition books to give to quilting friends.  Giving them a lovely place to sketch their ideas.
  10. Yoyos are a fun way to embellish your quilted projects as well as adding a personal flare to upcycled clothing.
  11. Mug Rugs give a nice place to set your mug and treat.  As well as being small scrap friendly.
