This one has been a long time in coming. Over a year I would say. I enjoyed the process. Each block was a lot of fun to make. I really like Victoria’s method of making blocks from made fabric.
I was really pleased with how the yellow background set of the bright made fabric.
I even had fun quilting it and really like how it turned out. I took these pictures quickly before we left for my parents home for Thanksgiving. You can kind of see the quilting in this one but if you go here you get a better idea. I would take more pictures but I dropped it off at my sister’s to give to her mother in law. She is battling brain cancer and needed a quilting hug. I hope this cheery quilt will bring a little joy to her as she fights the good fight.
I’m also linking up with Sarah for a big WHOOP WHOOP, not just for the finish but for the valiant fight.
Amazing, really an exquisite quilt!
I really like the background and the sashing. Your made fabric really stands out with it.
The way you created fabric for the different elements within the block gives so much interest to them. Sort of like a rainbow. Nice. And a wonderful "hug" to give someone struggling.
First of all, a big whoop whoop for the valiant fight, and another for that gorgeous quilt!! Love the made fabric – we may have to give this one a try for the ministry, since we have so-o-o-o-o-o-o many scraps!!

It is definitely a quilt that will brighten her day and help with her valiant battle. It is lovely.
What a fabulous finish! Best wishes to your mom. She will need that hug for sure.
It is awesome!! I love it. I got to go to Victoria's schoolhouse at Market. She was so amazing and inspiring. And I even won her book, so I think I will be playing too in the near future 😉
If the hug can't be delivered in person, a quilt is the a lovely substitute. Wonderful quilt.
great quilt!!!
Well done! The blue and yellow are so pretty themselves, and the other colors add pop!
Emily, I love the yellow background. I can't seem to find the made fabric on Victoria's site can you get us closer to the post? Thanks
It turned out beautiful Em, and I know it will bring much comfort.
Em your quilt turned out beautiful. I havent put my blocks together yet.
Hugs
Yes, Whoop! Whoop! What a gorgeous top. I love the brightness of the made fabric against the yellow. The blue setting is super complementary for it, too. And to think it emerged just 15 minutes at a time. . . fabulous. 🙂
I love your top. The fabric is so cool!! I am interested in the way you made your blocks out of "made fabric". I have gone to her site to try and figure it out but I must be missing something. I can't find how she does it. Any help you could give me would be great. Again I love your quilt!!
LOVE YOUR FINISH! that soft butter yellow with eh blue is just so yummy! just beautiful!
