As you may remember I bought this book recently. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!
Well my dear Hubby knows it is a dream of mine to go to Australia and take a class at Material Obsession. Since for the time being it will remain a dream he did the next best thing and got me this wonderful book. WEE!!! See me do the happy dance.
Then I had to get something for DD on Amazon and if I spent $25 the shipping was free. Well this book was the perfect amount to make the purchase $25. So I just had to get it. I know you understand.
So my quilting book library is happily growing. As is the list of quilts I want to be sewing. Oh what a wonderfully vicious cycle I’m in. You won’t hear me complaining.
Cost of books….$$$$$$
Shipping…..free
Aaahhh…the inspiration those books will provide!!! Priceless!
Lucky you!! I love new books -it's so much fun dreaming, even if a single quilt never gets made.
I love buying quilt books on Amazon – always such a great deal. And I LOVE the ones you got! I don't have the Material Obsession Two book. I must remedy that 😉
I understand Material Obsession II is now hard to get, so congrats. The first book intrigues me.
Hi Em,
I own the Freddy Moran book- I love her and Gwen's books- It is fun to read them and look at the pictures- the colors are rich and inspiring.. I also have Gwen's book Liberated Quilting.
They just have such a great freeing attitude about quilting- It is nice to play once in a while and not worry about precision piecing. Don't get me wrong, I like precision things too but it is nice to explore different techniques.
Enjoy your new books- it is always fun to read new ones too.
Regards,
Anna
Em you sound like me when it comes to books, but I can sit and look for hours at them over and over and over…
I do love new books! Congrats on your new Additions!
The Liberated Quiltmaking and Material Obsession books look so inviting. Your husband sure was sweet to get that for you!
Oh how hap, hap, happyy I am for you! You know what? I am looking forward to the magic you'll create from these new inspirations. Joyful, fun, delightful, snazzy, pretty, and mighty neat quilty things. That's what I'm looking forward to.
Magic happens here!
I rarely buy books, but Liberated Quiltmaking is on my list! Enjoy!
Fun! My mom works at a Michael's Crafts store, and every time I visit her and wander over by the quilting/sewing tools, I want to buy half (or all) the books they have! So many wonderful ideas!!
Ooh, I'm jealous – those look like wonderful books!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
