Excuse my DD manners she knows I won’t show her head on my blog. So she stuck out her tongue while I was taking this picture of her modeling the apron I just made. My sister Juliewants me to design an apron for her new line of fabric. Since I have never made an apron I thought I would try a few before I made one of my own. There is a sweet elderly lady in my neighborhood that makes aprons for people. I have seen several of these and asked if I could borrow her pattern. She gave me a file folder with pattern pieces on butcher paper in it. I was glad I had some experience sewing clothes because there were no instructions just pattern pieces. I used some bits of fabric that Julie had given me from her first line of fabric, Jitterbug. I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself.
That's a very cute apron! You did a great job!

Diane
Now, that is a proper apron – cute as!

A very cute apron! Tongue and all.
Very cute!! It is very similar to the type of apron my Nana used to wear.
It turned out so cute!
Now that's an apron! Very nice… Reminds me of one my MIL used to wear…
Love the fabric! blessings, marlene
So fun, and the fabric is so cute. Good luck with your own pattern, can't wait to see what you come up with.
Cute and I love the fact that it is more like a smock than one of those that straps over the neck.
It turned out super cute!! I still haven't made an apron, but it's on my to do list 🙂
Well, you don't have to say so yourself – we'll all say so too!! Very nice.
Very nice apron. aprons are a wonderful thing. So many people don't even wear them anymore. Hey…if you're not going to show the head, the tongue can come out! Keeps the photographer on her toes! lol
