When I finish a top I’ve found the best way for me to bind it is to head to the senior center where my quilt guild meets. They let us come on Tuesdays and have a free sew.
My friend, Suzy, helps me push the tables together. Then we lay out the back of my quilt, smooth it and clip/ tape it in place. You can get the clips we use at an office supply store.
Next we lay out the batting. Get it real smooth and then place the top on and pin like crazy.
Thanks to Suzy I am was able to baste two throw size today in less than two hours.
