It’s been hot. 90’s the last couple of days and upper 80’s today. This may not seem bad to some but my air conditioning is on the fritz. Hubby is getting the part today and hoping to fix it after work tonight. Yesterday I was able to cool the house down at night and then close everything up so that the house only got to 78*. But it didn’t cool down last night so that is now our starting point. My solution is to go down in the cool basement and quilt.
My newest scrap squad quilt is basted and ready to go. With any luck I’ll have it quilted and bond today.
Quilt is so lovely. I am cutting my scraps but then I I pulled my back. What pattern did you use?
What a bright happy quilt! So sorry that the heat is oppressive there, hope you get back to a cooler house soon.
I love the bright colors in this quilt! Glad you have a cool basement to work in, but hope the air conditioning is up and running soon!
Mother Nature is being a very wicked lady. First the Winter of our Discontent and then she zips us into an early Summer. I may just move into my basement. Love the scrappiness.
What a great way to stay cool and productive at the same time. Great quilt by the way. Those colors are super fun.
Air conditioning is an absolute necessity here. Today we were at 106. I hope your unit is fixed soon!
I love the colors of your quilt. They look so fresh, comapred to the temperatures you have wrote about.
Wish you a cool day and that your air conditinoning will work instantly,
greetings,
Sylvia
I have noticed that my swamp cooler is not even working good. We have stayed in the basement all week. My cat who loves the outside has even come in. When I came up to Snowbird today it was even hot up here. I hope things change soon. It is too hot too soon.
I'm so thankful it hasn't been that hot here yet. Our air conditioner is many years old so I won't be surprised for it to quit before long – sure will hate that! blessings, marlene
Hope your AC is fixed by now. I love that combination of fabrics in your new quilt!
Such a bright and cheerful quilt.
Oh dear! Were you able to have your AC fixed? It’s quite difficult to stay comfortable with a broken air conditioner, especially since the temperature has been skyrocketing these past few days. I do hope you get it fixed soon. Nice quilts, by the way. 😀
