I’ve officially finished and posted my first quilt for Quiltmaker Magazine’s Scrap Squad. It’s an honor to be included in such a group of talented ladies. So I’m getting all dressed up and celebrated in black tie style, or at least my quilt is. I present to you in all his finery “A Black Tie Affair.” My rendition of ‘Summer Love.’
I was going for a masculine look and I think I succeeded as my boys are calling it ‘The Man Quilt.’ I changed the setting triangles by designing pieced ones to include more black ties. You can read more of my process on Quilty Pleasures. Josh has claimed it already. He was the one cleaning the living room where I had placed it after photographing it. His reward for cleaning. I guess that means Alex gets the Mitsubishi quilt . Better finish it up soon. I’ve been putting it off because they both wanted it.
Linking up with Sarah for a little Whoop Whoop!
Love it 🙂
Wow!! Em your quilt is beautiful and great fabric choices. Your boys are very lucky.
Handsome! I think it's wonderful your boys "fight" over wanting a quilt. :o)
Love it!
Great clean lines and so masculine.
It is a great masculine quilt. Nice job.

Bravo!! What a great quilt. Hugs
I very much like your pieced setting triangles! Keeps that big space of the setting triangle from looking so empty and plain.
