Celebrating Sister Quilts

You may remember by in July when I returned from girls camp with my DD I pulled out my green, blue, and yellow scrap bins. Cut up a bunch of strips and made some quarter log cabins. Well, let me tell you I had a lot of fun playing with those blocks. In fact I spent hours playing with arrangement ideas in EQ. (My arm dosen’t get as tired reaching up and moving things around as it does when I do this on the design wall. Well this is the layout I came up with.

Because of my work on the scrap squad I decided to share my idea with Diane. She shared it with Carolyn who asked if I could make one for their magazine, Quiltmaker. Well of course! So a sister quilt was born. Carolyn chose, Vintage Picnic by Bonnie and Camille for Moda. I love that it still has those lovely greens and blues I enjoyed at camp.

Each sister is unique, one scrap happy, laid back, and a homebody.

The other organized, professional and well traveled.

Kind of reminds me of me and my sister. Linking up with Sarah, Cynthia and Amanda Jean to celebrate these two sisters.
