A lot of life has happened since my last post. I went away with my friends like I do every year at this time. We did a lot of talking laughing and sewing. I feel so blessed to have these lovely ladies in my life.
While I was with them news that my aunt had passed away came. It was not a surprise. Just over a year ago we found out that she had stage four colon cancer. I made her this quilt to take with her for her treatments. It has been a hard year and she fought a good fight. I know she is in a better place but the finality of death and the loss it leaves just hearts your heart.
But just as life takes and leaves you reeling it also gives and blesses you with joy. Today my sister, Becky gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. He is perfect in every way. Both mother and baby are doing well.
And the circle of life goes on.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I think the quilt you made for her must have brought so much happiness and comfort to your aunt as she went through treatment.
And a baby quilt too! It's adorable and congratulations on the new nephew!
My cherished memories of your aunt be healing ones and having a new baby to love helps.
May cherished memories…
