Do you ever feel like sailing away? Away from laundry, housework, kids who think your ruining their life because you make them work, etc…
I do so while playing with my scrap bin once again. (Little secret here, my scrap bin and sewing machine are my sailboat and my imagination a calm see to sail away on.) I made this journal cover for a friend who has recently suffered a serious loss. Figured she could use some sail away time too. Wrapped it with a happy yellow strip of fabric and sailed it on over to her home.
Hope everyone has a carefree, sail away weekend.

That is just adorable. Such a sweet gift for your friend.
First of all, beautiful journal cover! I love your design… And my hubby always wants to sail away – on the boat, on the lake, every weekend- so my life would be complete if I could only figure out a way to get my sewing machine out there too!
Love the theme! Love the scraps and love the idea of making someone happy! What a cute little journal cover!
That's a sweet, thoughtful gift.
