I’ve been keeping the post man busy with packages coming and going. Between my three virtual bees, two online exchanges and some happy bloggy winnings my mail box is seeing a lot of packages. Such a pleasant change from bills and junk mail. January is my month to be queen bee in my Twist on Tradition virtual bee. I sent out packages early since there were a couple that had a long ways to go and I wanted to make sure these ladies had plenty of time to complete their blocks. Well there are some ladies in this group that are really on the ball because I’ve already received blocks from two of them. Thank you Danielle and Michelle aren’t their blocks lovely? Danielle is the queen bee for The Stitchin’ Bee we are also both in. So along with her blocks came some pretty fabric and this fun little book to give inspiration for the block I get to create for her.
The pictures in this book are amazing. I love the use of color. It took me some time thinking and playing with fabric and design but I’m pretty happy with the results. I hope she will like it.
Also newly arrived in the mail is this absolutely wonderful charm pack from Shari. I’ve already got some ideas churning for how to use it.
Hope everyone has a great day today and that you find time to sew a little something.
Your blocks are so pretty! Whatever you decide to make out of the charm pack will be lovely, with those fabrics you can't go wrong.
I like the colors in that block, Em. How fun!
I think that Boutique line of fabric is one of my very favorites. I did a Schnibbles with it and absolutely loved it when finished.
Oh what fun!! I've never heard of virtual Bees before but why not??
Love the pic you made.
