Doing A Very Happy Dance

I couldn’t sleep this morning because I was so excited for my trip.  So I got up early and went for a walk.  When I got home around 6 my son, Alex’s light was on and the window was open so I could not resist a little pre-Halloween boo.  I scared him good.  It was very funny.  Great way to start my day and give him a little adrenaline rush to keep his mind fresh for the test he got up early to take.

Then I came inside and opened my email to find some very exciting news indeed.  My quilt for the EZ Dresden challenge won a Judges Choice Award.  I was ecstatic!  Alex was not as happy.  I guess it serves me right for giving him the scare.  I had to impatiently wait for the rest of the house to wake up to share my good news.  It was sooooo hard.

I have to borrow the quilt from my dear friend, Holly to send off to be photographed and displayed at Fall Market.  Thankfully she understands that when I give her quilts this sometimes happens.

And the really cool thing is that I won books from two of my favorite quilters.  One from Victoria, can barely  wait for this one.  But wait I will have to do as it’s not due out until Nov.

And the other from the very talented Jacquie.  I don’t have to wait as long for this awesome book.

Could a morning get any better?  I don’t think so.  Now I’m off for a very fun rest of the week doing happy dances all the while.
