My DWR is finished! I can’t believe it. I would never have dreamed I could do a double wedding ring. I’ll admit it really scared me at first. But a challenge had been given and I love a challenge.
When I started this challenge I thought I would only make a table runner. But I feel in love with the design and it grew and grew until I had a queen size quilt for my bed.
I’ve had it on my bed for the last few days and every time I see it there it makes me smile. Sleeping under it is heavenly. So whether I win the challenge or not this quilt is a winner in my book.
it's lovely! and it's a double winner — you made a great quilt and you can now sleep under it.
That is a winner! Love your color combos.
Gorgeous. DWR is a lovely design. I bought a art piece with the design for one of my early wedding anniversaries but I haven't aspired to piece the quilt, I am kind of afraid of sewing curves. I have sewn them for inset sleeves and hated every stitch. though , I won't say never….
Beautiful! I'd say it's a winner!
It's amazing!!! If you ever write a quilt book, this should go on it's cover!
My goodness, your DWR is divine. I just love it! You may have pushed me over the DWR fear zone and into the DWR can do zone!
Bravo!
Perfection!
It is one fabulous quilt! What an achievement. Congratulations.
Love it! Absolutely gorgeous!
Your DWR is STUNNING! Curves always intimidate me … but I've decided that 2014 is the year I conquer them 🙂
Wow, your DWR is fantastic.
Greetings Grit
I have been considering that challenge, but so far I haven't tried it.. Your quilt looks great.
This is absolutly amazing!!! Just beautiful Em!!
Challenges are wonderful, aren't they? I often leap to them, sometimes finish and sometimes don't. Cheers on your lovely finish. One win is finishing; here's to the other. (I can say that as I didn't join this one. LOL)
One of my all time favorite patterns made even prettier by you, Emily.
Looks like a winner to me!
I LOVE your scrappy wedding ring! So beautiful. I totally understand the feeling of awe at completing something that proves your growth and experience as a quilter. Bravo!
Prizes don't validate the loveliness. It's a beauty.
It is wonderful! Something I haven't even thought of attempting yet. But, it does help us to stretch ourselves. I am doing that with my first hand appliquéd quilt now. I just have the center medallion to do. It does feel good when you accomplish something special!
yes, you've definitely had a win already!! Beautiful quilt. 🙂
looks fantastic
Your quilt is a winner in my book, too. Great quilt. I am glad you took the challenge.
It is so pretty!! So glad you made it big enough to sleep under.
Wowsers! Winner indeed!!
It looks fantastic! Just love that grey with all those colours. Why is it that most quilters consider the DWR the pinnacle of achievement? You will certainly have happy dreams this winter.
Way to take a challenge and run with it!!! Your DWR is gorgeous!!!
