Friendly Finds

I had a delightful time at the Panquitch quilt walk. Met some truly wonderful people. Here I am with Nedra and Nanette. Two very wonderful ladies. I spent the afternoon chatting with Nanette and her son. Nanette is a kind and generous person. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet her in person.

Nedra was teaching a class while Nanette and I chatted. Then I taught my class so I did not get much of a chance to talk with her. But imagine my surprise while I was garage saleing with my parents after quilt walk and came upon Nedra’s garage sale. I spotted this awesome find before I knew I was at Nedra’s, a fabulous antique ironing board. Then I looked up and saw Nedra in her doorway. I’m so thrilled that I was able to find this great treasure. I’ve been looking for one since I used my friend’s in a craft booth. This one is even more special because it came from Nedra.

Don't you all have beautiful smiles!
I'll bet that great ironing board finds itself deliciously dressed sometime soon!

That is too incredible. You found yourself at Nedra's house??? So funny. Small world my friend. I loved visiting with you. After we left Mason said to me "she's really nice, I like her." Imagine that coming from a 15 year old boy! You well know how rare a compliment is from them. I thought it was sweet that he picked up on your character. I did really enjoy our time together. Next time you're in my area you must come visit me.

    Emily,
Thank you so much for teaching at the Quilt walk. Everyone told me how much they enjoyed your class and how kind and patient you are! I'm so glad that we got to have you come play with us! I read about someone hollering at you last week. Too bad some people have to act that way! I can tell what a sweet spirit you have. Please don't ever let someone like that make you feel bad. It's them that are making a fool of themselves! Thanks again for coming. What are you teaching for us next year! Claudia

I am so happy to know that the antique ironing board has a happy home where it is already loved. What a coincidence that you came upon our garage sale! It was meant to be!
Very fun to finally meet you.
