I basted my Dream quilt last week. Quilted clouds all over it. Then sewed the binding on one way so I would have some hand work to do on our road trip. Nothing makes the miles fly by like binding a quilt. Not to mention the calming effect it has. Especially when you have a teenage driver driving. Not that he is a bad driver. Jut not being in control while he is driving sometimes makes me nervous. I really wish I had a brake on my side of the car at times. But he got us there safe and sound and the quilt is done.
Very pleased with his one. Time to start another improv quilt. Maybe the flower one I’ve got floating around in my head. What fun projects do you have floating in your head? I would love to hear about them.
Maybe that idea floating in your head could be entered in the McCall’s Quilt Design Starâ„¢ 2012 contest? The prizes are great! Quilty things, money and sewing machines. Make sure you check it out. It should be fun.
Aww Em, this came out so great!!! Congrats on this lovely finish and double support for being a mom with a driving teenager. You're an amazing woman. Amazing.
LOVE. this. quilt.
Oh gosh….I remember those teenage driving years!!!! The quilt looks incredible.
How I LOVE this quilt!!!!! Yes do another improv, I'd love to see the flowers you're dreaming of!
very nice quilt! I'm especially impressed since I have a teen daughter learning to drive and we just returned from a road trip with her. It can be a bit nail-biting!
wonderful quilt!
What a stunning, beautiful quilt! I love it! I have my last child working on their license. I use my imaginary brake a lot. It used to bug me when my mother did it, especially after I had been driving for 20 years, but she still held on for dear life whenever she wasn't driving. I think I'm headed that way.
Aptly named, totally gorgeous. I always look forward to seeing what you're up to.
Great quilt! THe colors hold it together and the design lends variety.
Are you entering?
I love the term "improv"…that works for me every time…even when I am following directions!
Beautiful quilt! I'd love to see the one that is floating around in your head. I'm still working on my flying geese. Hope to have them finished by tomorrow.
Great improv quilt. I remember those teen driving years. I handed that part over to my husband. He was much more calm with them when they drove!
