It’s that wonderful time of year when packages full of quilty hugs start arriving on my doorstep. I am ever so grateful to all the generous quilters that donate each year and for Sarah for hosting Hands 2 Help and choosing Quilty Hugs for Happy Chemo. I can’t tell you how much each of these quilts helps and how nice it is to have a good supply. Sometimes we run a little low. To celebrate the kickoff of H2H I basted, quilted and bond one of the many tops my little group of helpers made for this cause. I quilted vines and leaves in this cute little pink and green quilt made from donated blocks. I’m hoping to get a few more quilty hug tops done during this drive.
In addition to finishing up the quilty hug I made these three journals. The tutorial on how to make these can be foundhere. They are for a friend, that I have worked with serving the young women at our church, and her two daughters (who happen to be among those young women.) They are moving in a week and we will miss them. I will have all the other leaders and young women write their good byes inside as a going away gift.
Linking up with Sarah, Amanda Jean and Cynthia to celebrate my little finishes.
What a great start to you H2H project!!
What a fantastic effort! I have had several close acquaintances pass in recent months from cancer – a most insidious disease, for sure. Found you at Crazy Mom Quilts.
Your quilt is lovely as are your book covers. I'm sure your friend and her daughters will love them. What a great keepsake for them.

Thanks for the reminder for H2H. I am looking forward to participating this year!
Love those journals! Glad you are linking them up with Oh Scrap!
Love this post ! And I have two quilts underway that will one day end up on your doorstep!
Your journals are going to be such a wonderful gift.
Your top made up into such a beautiful finish.
Your handmade journals are very pretty and what an excellent idea for a gift.
Both the quilt and the journal covers turned out really nice. I have a book that needs a cover. I will have to find some time to try your tutorial.
I love the journals. This has given me an idea to make a small journal cover. Very pretty H2H quilt. I have my H2H quilt finished and hopefully I can put it into the mail to you very soon.
Planning my happy chemo quilt…always happy when this time of year rolls around. Your quilt and journals are adorable!!
Lovely journals. The birds are flying away.
Such pretty presents, love your finished quilt and the journals.
Greetings,
Sylvia
