Honoring an Icon

My dear friend, Kaylyn’s grandpa is an important part of our community.  He can be seen each morning and afternoon riding his horse on Main Street.  It is one of the many things I love about where I live.  When his sweet wife passed away a few years ago I made this mini to honor her.  She loved to dance.  It was the one thing she never forgot as suffered from Alzheimer.

Imagine my delight when I came across this documentary on Video West honoring this icon.  I’m sharing it so you can see just how blessed I am to live in such a great community.  And to let you meet the man who makes my day, everyday, with his friendly wave as he rides his horse down Main Street.

Oh what a lovely piece–and a terrific neighbor. Memory pieces can be so evocative and I am sure it will warm his heart with happy memories. hugs, Julierose

It does look like a simpler life style for him. I loved seeing the horse on the road with all of the cars. You are blessed and the piece you made reflecting his wife's love for dancing is perfect.
