I had the opportunity to speak yesterday. My topic was self improvement through hobbies and recreational activities. It got me thinking of all the wonderful people who have taught, inspired, and helped me to become the person I am today. So I thought it would be fun to pay tribute to them through the quilts they inspired.
First, Mary Lou Weidman and her Bloom quilt that inspired my Naughty Garden.
Next Jacquie Gering’s raw edge applique inspired my little family in It Takes a Village
Mygreat grandma inspired my Love Ida quilt.
Victoria Findlay Wolfe is the inspiration behind my Plan B quilts
And Kathy Doughty’s tulips were the inspiration for mine in Mary’s Garden.
I am thankful to these and so many others that have helped me stretch, grow and become who I am. I’m better because they have been a part of my life.
I just finished up a few days at Quiltcon. Talk about inspiration. All of those beautiful quilts.
All wonderful quilts for inspiration. But I think the many wonderful scrappy quilts you have made in the past have all inspired me!
OH just love all those pretty, fun, colorful, lovely quilts!!!!!!Scraps rule!
What lovely quilts and what a lovely topic to speak about!
There really is an enormous amount of inspiration, isn't there? Wonderful to see these quilts again.:)
