Inspiration from Friends

I wanted to share with you a few of the lovely projects that were made at my retreat.  They inspired me and thought they might inspire you.  Or  at least give you a little eye candy to enjoy.

First from Patty, our lovely host,  this fun flower quilt.  The flowers are wool applique.  Didn’t she do a lovely job?  I must say yes not only on her quilt but the retreat.  Yummy food,  comfy beds in cozy cabins, and lots of fun sewing activities and prizes.  Patty throws a great quilting retreat.  Here is a link to Patty’s retreats in case you are interested.

Next up is this great quilt from Lorri.  It may be a fave of mine because it is designed around my old high school, Davis High.  So many good memories around that ol’ D; games, dances, and incident involving a can of whip cream, the list could go on forever.

Lorri also designed this cute hen quilt to go above her long arm.  Lorri is a great long arm quilter.  Her business, Speckled Hens Quilting Co. has reasonable prices and good service.  If your looking for a good long arm quilter make sure you check out Lorri.

Joan is a speedy sewer.  Sitting next to her can be intimidating.  She whips out projects like there is no tomorrow.  I think she finished 7 at the retreat.  These cute matching aprons are for her twin granddaughters who will turning three in May.

Look at this cozy quilt Ruth made from flannel sheets and recycled jeans.

And this stunning batik quilt from DeLayne.

Hope you enjoyed all this lovely eye candy and that you found a little inspiration to.
