Just Desserts

My grandpa had a bakery, my uncle has it now. When I was really little they would put me in big mixing bowl while my mom decorated cakes. This quilt is inspired by my bakery experience. Pies and petifores all done up in Sew and Sew by Chloe’s Closet for Moda,

The pies remind me of my grandpa who liked to say he only like two kinds of pie; hot and cold. The cakes for my mom who always made great cakes for our birthdays and weddings.

And I’m happy to announce it is in the current issue of Fons and Porter’s Quilting Quickly.

Linking up with Sarah and Amanda Jean to celebrate.

They put you in the bowl – that's hilarious – and a great way to keep you contained I bet!! Ha

Congrats on your quilt being in the magazine. My dad always ate his pie first….he said he had to make sure he had room for it.

Congratulations! Terric simple pattern, made even better by your fabric choice. A true 'confection' as they would say.

Great story-did they spin the big mixing bowl around with you in it? You choose lovely soft colors for your quilt.
