Just a Little Scrappy Play

Welcome if you are visiting from McCalls Quilting. I hope you will stay awhile to see what is going on and maybe check out my tutorials. For my wonderful faithful reader, I’m a guest blogger over at McCalls Quilting if you want to pop on over.

Yesterday I found time to sew the rest of my scrappy quarter square triangles I cut here from my yellow, orange, blue and green bins are now all sewn together. I need to get the sashing cut now. I’ve chosen a tomato red. I think I will also add scrappy green and blue corner posts. I’m hoping to find a little time later today to move this along. I’ll share my progress on Monday. I’m not set on the layout yet. I think I need more dark triangles scattered through the middle.

Tuesday I met with friends and basted my Uncut Diamonds quilt. I really love how this turned out and not just because I used up all those odd triangles. Though that is a big bonus. If you have an abundance of odd triangles in your scrap bins the tutorial on how to make this block can be found here.

When Anna and I did our boutique last month we had a request for patchouli soap. I made it shortly there after. It has now been four weeks and it’s ready to nourish and soften skin. I put it in the shopyesterday. Remember we are having a sale of 15% off through Christmas with code MERRY2016.
