It’s black Friday and as we head into the official start of the Christmas season, I’ve been making little spools. I was inspired by the cute spools I had seen by Nanette and Jacquie. Thought they could serve as a reminder not to get to tightly wound up in all the hustle and bustle. But to unwind and enjoy the season. I have a plan for these but they were so cute I’ll have to make more cause I’m thinking they’ll make a delightful quilt.
What do you like to do to unwind during the holiday season?
Like the look of these Em they are going to look Great in a Quilt…I Like to sit & stitch while watching a Girlie Movie to Unwind or Read.
cheers
Darling spools Em. Look like fun blocks to make!!
The Christmas season hasn't hit me yet, so nothing to unwind about yet. LOL!
What cute spools, Em!!! I know you will make something gorgeous with them.
Unwind….a good quilting magaizine in a warm bath. Ahhhh.
A cup of Jasmine tea and a quilt book or magazine.
I saw a spool quilt quite some time ago where the spools were laid out through the colors of the rainbow. It went from light to dark in the different colors as it flowed from one color to the next.
Unwind? Never heard of it! I will be stitching right into the wee hours of Chritmas morning!
Your spools are wonderful – great way to use those treasured scraps.
Em! How fantasic. I love this. Love how they in fact DO serve as a reminder not to get to tightly wound up but rather to take it easy and enjoy the season. 🙂
