The advantage of having teenage children is you can bind a quilt while they do the driving. Well at least that is one advantage. One I was thankful for on our last trip to visit my parents. It enabled me to finish this quilt. J did all the driving while I stitched away. Thank you J.
The sun is out this morning so I took hurried to take a few pics before that changes. With this weird spring I didn’t want to take any chances. Sorry for the morning shadows but I was afraid if I waited it might be rainy, windy or worse yet it might snow again.
But for now this quilt is basking in the sunshine.
I’m sharing this over atSarah’s with her whoop whoop fun. Go check out what others are sharing.
It's gorgeous!
I can't imaging having kids that drive but I know it'll happen soon enough!
This is a lovely quilt. Awesome job.
Beautiful quilt!! I remember my dad enjoying the fact that I could drive so that he could sleep!

Last night I stayed up late to bind a quilt and help my youngest out as she was feeling ill..:( She's a bit better now though and quilt is finished!

That IS one good thing about teenage drivers.

hmmm…I have to get my daughter to hurry up with her driver's ed. Great quilt!
That is a beautiful quilt. Good on your teenager.
There is no way I would have tried to bind a quilt in the car with one of my teens. I would have been too busy helping them drive. 🙂 blessings, marlene
I don't think I could ride in a car and bind a quilt. I have to watch the road too. Good that you can relax and do that.
I like it! Good fabric choices.
Love the quilt. It's so pretty. I too, received a quilt after completing my radiation at the Huntsman a year ago. Do you have a specific place where you donate your happy chemo quilts?
THis is so pretty! Its bright ans cheery!
It is just gorgeous hon – but HOW can you SEW while they drive? I'd put a needle through my finger.
Love your quilt. It is stunning. I would never though of doing this pattern in scrappy, and the way you did the scrappy is unique. I just love it.
It's a lovely quilt. I love the way all of the colors work so well together.
Whoop! Whoop! Super lovely quilt! It will give your teenagers confidence if you can quilt while they drive and it might calm you. And on top of that you get the binding done. How great is all that!!
You are still the Queen of Scrap quilts! Beautiful!
Beautiful quilt. BTW, it SNOWED here outside of Chicago this afternoon. Waa!!! I want SPRING! Your quilt reminds me of Spring, thanks!
I just love this quilt! My son just got his learners permit recently so that seems a little risky to me at this point……but I'm sure, kind of, that it will get better.
This is a real beauty – just love all the colours but it has a crispness because of the white – just gorgeous!
So gorgeous! I have got to make one of these!
