I needed to make a gift, my strip bin was over flowing, and I can always use practice on my free motion quilting. So combining these objectives I made a simple table runner. Just random low volume strips, a couple pieced ones thrown in for fun.
I have a board on pintrest that I pin quilting designs I want to try. I had fun trying a few of these out in each of the strips; feathers, hearts, l’s and e’s, leaves, etc. I find a small project like this is good for practice. I can try lots of things and there isn’t the bulk of a quilt to complicate things.
I’m pretty pleased with the results. And happy to get to check off a few things on the to do list.
That is a great idea!! Very pretty, and your quilting adds so much texture…love it!
