Leaders and Enders

You may remember that odd day a while back when I got in the mood to cut.  Weird I know.  Well from that crazed moment I started a leaders and enders project. These little guys have been the result. Looks like I will be making another Free Four All quilt and I’ve got the first step done.

Josh’s quilt has been good at moving this project along.  I send a leader through each time I started a row, or each time I fed through each set of geese.

And I had two different kinds of geese.

Now to arrange these into rows. Not to much longer and his quilt will be big enough to cover his bed. He is looking forward to it and made me feel good when he told me he was grateful I was a doer.  I think as a member of the millennial generation he knows what a distraction you tube and social media can be.  I always know when he is studying for a test or has a project for school.  His phone will be on the pool table.  He told me he has to do it or he gets distracted. With finals next week his phone is spending a lot of time on the pool table. Take 50% Off Patterns at Shop Fons &; Porter with Offer Code PATTERN50 Take 20% Off Craft Books at Stitch Craft Create

Well done on the stitching – I find social media distracting too! Well done for leaving that phone out of harm's way! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastituesday

I put my phone in the backseat when I drive the car, for the same reason. Once I got stopped for speeding, and I said "i'll have to get my purse from the back seat".. the cop asked "why do you have your purse in the back seat" and I said "so I can't be tempted to answer my phone"… and he said "I see you try to be a safe driver, just slow down a bit, and have a good day !!!!"

My office space is at one end of the house and my sewing room at theother. If I tried to answer the phone it would be too late. Someone wants to talk to me they can leave a message and I'll get back to them…if I want to!

I love those scrappy flying geese and can't wait to see them in your quilt top. I have noticed that I make more leder and ender progress when I am actually piecing something else. 🙂 claire aka knitnkwilt.wordpress.com

Don't get me started on mobile phones! I always like the idea of leaders and enders but haven't been organised enough yet – yours are looking really good.
