Going on vacation can create a ton of laundry. Fortunately for me I don’t mind laundry. I must say of all domestic jobs it is my favorite. Something about the rhythm of the washing machine, with the low rumble of the dryer and the fact that these machines do there work by themselves so I can add the hum of my sewing machine to this little symphony. So while the washing machine and dryer did their part in tackling the mountain of laundry created by my family, I played in my sewing room.
I made a few flowers for my newest improv quilt.
Made two wonky churn dashes to add to the ones I’ve received from my Sew Bee Wonky group. I’m waiting on a couple to arrive. Then I’m thinking that when it’s my turn in my String group I’ll have the lovely ladies make sashing to go between these fun blocks. This should give everything a good scrappy feel.
Speaking of my String group I made these blocks.
Finally I was able to make these fun spikey blocks for Rocco, the queen this month in Sew Bee Wonky.
Now the mountain is diminished, at least for now, and my design wall is looking oh so pretty.
I just love the monkey wrench block! so bright and cheery
I just love all of your scrappy work.
Like you, I really don't mind the laundry either. There is a rhythm to it.
