Last night was meet the teachers at the Utah Quilt Guild Annual Fest. I felt so honored to be among the many talented teachers there. And imagine my delight to be sitting next to Kim Diehl. A very talented woman indeed. I love her scrappy quilts. Her applique is gorgeous. I enjoyed getting to know her as we spoke briefly before the meeting. She is funny and kind. (After she was a pretty popular lady among all the quilters gathered there.) For good reason I would say. Here is one of her books full of beautiful treasures and some of those wonderful scrappy quilts I spoke of earlier.
Like I said, I will also be teaching. My class is full but if you are at the Fest stop by and say ‘hi’. I would love to see you.
I hope it all goes well. what is your class?
It sounds like a great event. I wish I lived closer.
Enjoy teaching your class. Sounds like a blast.
Definitely sounds like fun! I have 2 of Kim's books, but haven't actually made anything from them. How dumb is that? The quilt pictured is like the quilt I just finished from Bonnie Hunter's book – only different.
Congratulations on being a teacher at the festival. I like that scrappy quilt.
