It’s summer and the perfect time to have a scrappy mindless project going. Not that I need an excuse to have a scrappy mindless project going. I’m of the mindset that the more scrappy projects you have going the merrier and if they are mindless that’s just an added bonus.
I pulled out my wonky rose garden project box out and added about a dozen more blocks. The only thought pressing on my mind as I sew away is how many flowers should have sky background vs. garden background. My blue bin is getting hard to put the lid on so the sky background will probably be the dominate one. Full scrap bins usually dictate how my quilts proceed.
Now it’s your turn. What were you able to move forward? Looking forward to seeing your progress. Please remember to link or grab the button on the side bar so others can find us and play along. Thanks!
I got one quilt off the frame and another on it, linked up but your link doesn't seem to be working the same as always and do not see the thumbnail now – I'll check back later to see the other links later in the day.
The rose blocks are interesting. A good way to create the feeling of roses without doing applique.
Love your wonky blocks!
Your wonky rose blocks look like so much fun!
I love these wonky rose blocks. I wish I could jump into my scraps and make some myself. They are so darn pretty!!!!
That is going to be fabulous.
Cute wonky roses, good idea!
Wonky rose quilt is very original. Love the yellow as sashing. There aren't enough yellow quilts out there. ;^)
I really like your wonky rose blocks! Are they made kind of like an angular log cabin? They look like fun!
I want to play in your scrap bins :). They are so pretty!
Scrappy quilts are my favourite and I can see many coming out of those lovely scraps.
I LOVE these blocks! I wish I'd thought of making them.
