Moving It Forward

Monday seems to roll around very quickly. I’m still working on my pile of tops and backs. Though I’m thinking after this one I might move on to something else. I believe my free motion quilting skills are improving. I usually struggle with loopy flowery designs but I felt this one went more smoothly and my stitches were more even. Still lots of room for improvement but we are moving forward.

Once the quilting was done I got the binding on one way. Hope to finish it up today.

Now it’s your turn. What did you move forward?

I managed to load a bolt of backing on my Gammill last night so that I can quilt a round of my own tops for a change! I am really proud of myself for accomplishing that…since I was at an amusement park all day with my daughter.

one day I should practice free motion but I will stick with straight lines for now when I am not hand quilting.

I think your flower quilting looks really good, especially in the close up binding photo. I would FMQ more often if my quilting looked as good as yours! I hate practicing and just want to skip ahead to the part where I'm awesome… 😉

I really wish I was better at FMQ too. You are so good at moving things forward, Em.

The whimsical flowers that you've FMQ'd look marvelous; nice and smooth and evenly spaced.

I love the flowery fabric you're using, and the striped binding is too fun! Thanks for hosting the link-up.
