Weekends seem to fly and Monday arrives before I know it. I find that I get little time to sew over the weekend. Neglected house work needs doing, family calls; and while I can do without the housework I do enjoy my time with my family. This past weekend we had a bridal shower for my cousin’s daughter. It was so nice to see cousins and aunts that I don’t see as often. I also got to go to the movie, Hidden Figures. I loved it and would highly recommend it.
Friday before all this fun began I was able to make this quarter square star. Look for more of these in the future.
I also got busy on ‘My Neighborhood’ row quilt hosed by Quilter Chic. I finished the first row and made the blocks for the second row. The second row also has applique. I still need to get that done. But I’m a little closer to being caught up. I think it will be a fun quilt. I’ve almost got my row designed. My row will preview in April. If your looking for a fun project I think this one will flip the bill.
Now it’s your turn. Did you find time to sew over the weekend?
I’d love to see what you move forward. Share and make sure to link back so others can find us and play along.
love your neighborhood!
The block is great! and yes – it is so much fun to be with family the time just flies!
I LOVE your little neighborhood. Am going to have to check out that QAL.
I saw Hidden Figures a couple weeks ago. Loved it too. Claire aka Knitnkwilt
Yes! Hidden Figures was a great movie! You know, as I was enjoying your Quarter Square Star Block, I realized you may have solved my problem: choosing a pattern for my sister's wedding………Thank you for sharing!
