Are you tired of these blocks yet? Sorry but it is the one thing I’ve moved forward this week. I really pushed myself this weekend to finish these scrappy string blocks and put them into a flimsy. It made a small dent in my strings and I’m thrilled with the results. All that color makes me happy.
Hoping that Tuesday I’ll be able to baste it though I don’t know if I’ll get it quilted this week. My hubby is adopted and after much searching has found his birth parents. They have both passed away. I’m sad for him. But he has found aunts and uncles and even a couple half siblings. We are going this weekend to meet them and exchange photos and stories. Pretty exciting stuff. Now that I’ve shared my good news I’m looking forward to seeing your good news and progress. Please share how you’ve been moving things forward. Not tired at all–I AM tired of trimming my Cassidy's blocks lol they go on and on…sometimes I wonder if it'll ever get done….hugs, Julierose–your quilt is so pretty….

Nope not tired of seeing it. Your lucky, you get to look at it everyday. I suppose we could to but nothings like the real thing. Hope you and your sweetie have a great time meeting new family.
Loving it actually. Meanwhile, blessings on the meetings with extended family, which must be both exciting and a little like meeting the new in-laws the first time.

The blocks make such a beautiful flimsy. That is exciting for your husband, but like you, I am sorry that he will not have a chance to meet them.
