Christmas is this Friday, and while I have made progress on Josh’s quilt, I’m not quite sure it will be finished on time. I meant to baste it a couple of weeks ago, but my sister needed me to watch her kidos on the day I had arranged to baste it. So I’m a little behind. I’ve got the star quilted using a hook and swirl pattern. I found the tutorial for it here.
Next I moved things a little farther by doing a feather around the star border.
I’m about 3/4 of the way around the rays coming out from the star. Here I did vines and leaves.
Now that you’ve seen what I’ve moved forward it’s your turn.
The quilting is looking really nice on the quilt, Em.
Merry Christmas.
I love your quilting and can't wait to see if finished! I have Angela Walters first book that has the hooked swirl in it and I have used it on quilts – not without some issues with it. It would have been nice to see the video first, but I finally caught on to it. I love her book!
