Well here it is. The finish I was hoping for last Friday. We received over 7″ of snow Saturday. My youngest son was hoping to come with me to deliver it but the roads were too bad. So my middle son delivered it yesterday. I made it extra long. I have tall boys (all over 6′) and a complaint they have had in the past is that my quilts don’t cover their toes. Or if they do it doesn’t come up high enough to snuggle. So this one is just over 6′.
It is flannel. All my boys love flannel quilts. They think flannel is cozy. Spike approves.
Now it’s your turn. I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to.
I approve too! I love flannels!!
LOVE LOVE Flannel quilts!!! (I finally made myself one too) Yours came out great. Thanks for the Monday linky.
Your quilt looks great; congratulations! Is it flannel front and back? What kind of batting do you use with flannel? I bought some flannel quilting fabric online by mistake but I've never worked with it before. Do I need to do anything differently as far as cutting and piecing to accommodate for the additional fabric bulk in the seam allowances?
Looks warm and cozy! I hope it keeps your boys' toes nice and warm. Beautiful snow photos.
This is a beautiful flannel quilt!! It definitely looks soft and cuddle worthy.
Great looking quilt. Has a modern dimensional look even with the plaids. Will provide some warm quilty hugs for your son's friend. Prays and healing thoughts for him.
Congratulations! Perfect all over.
