I had a wonderful weekend meeting my hubby’s long lost relatives. We were able to meet an aunt, an uncle and a half brother. I’m so happy for my husband he has always wondered about his birth parents and we were able to see pictures and hear stories. It was all very exciting.
With all the excitement Monday came very quickly.
But here it is. I pulled a bunch of scraps from my bits bin and started a new project. Is starting something new, moving something forward? I don’t know but we are counting it.
I took those bits and started making me a rose garden. I’ve been playing with layout. This is my favorite so far.
Were you able to move something forward this week? I’d love to see. Link up and share with us.
I love it! is this the same technique you used for the Naughty Garden flowers?
love your quilt
I could "dye" for your colors!
I'll bet it was an emotional and fun weekend. That layout looks great – fabulous colors.
Of course it counts; you are moving scraps forward! Claire
I love scrap quilts! I love seeing how you put them together, everyone has their own style of selecting scraps from their scrapbag!
So much scrappy goodness. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Loved seeing the shot of your happy scrappy piles of colors!
It totally counts to start something new. Just think how far behind you are on all the projects you haven't even started yet! LOL!
Oh my goodness, I can't tell you how wonderful I think your roses are. I wish I'd thought of making roses like these! (But maybe I will borrow your idea sometime in the future….)
