My middle son informed me that his brothers he needs another quilt for his bed. Apparently his brothers took all the masculine bed size quilts with them when they moved out. Leaving Josh with only one quilt on his bed. This was fine when the weather was warmer but now that temperatures have dropped he is cold. Well, we can’t have that. I’ve given him a few throw size to hold him over while I get busy with a new quilt.
I over bought fabric when I made this quilt. I’m sure none of you have ever done this. So I have plenty to make a full size quilt if not more.
I had already made a few half square triangles from it for a class I taught last summer.
I cut a bunch more and I’m hoping today to chain them through my machine today. I have a general plan and I’m looking forward to see how it evolves.
Hoping by Christmas to have a snugly quilt for Josh. Linking with Cynthia and Beth.
I am sure you will have a beautiful quilt in no time. I don't think I have seen your star quilt – that really is striking! Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
I don't remember the quilt either. How nice that you have boys that appreciate the quilts you make.
Ah, that's the trouble with having older brothers. Drama Teen tells me she so glad that she doesn't have to deal with anyone else stealing away her favorite quilts.
What???? Over buy fabric????? Never! lol Those fabrics will make a fabulous quilt. Have fun sewing it.
I'm sure you'll get it done – where there's a need, there's a way!!
Another good reason to make a quilt! I LOVE that quilt that left you with scraps.
I love those fabrics that you've made the HST's with! Enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving with your family!
Glad to see the young man wants more quilts! You raised him right. Over buy fabric? Hum, not as frequently as I wished! I tend to buy lots of smaller pieces (1/2 yards) and then go frantic trying to find a piece big enough for a backing. I hate to piece backings but will if absolutely necessary! Nice quilt.
