We just got a sectional to go in our family room. Now there is room for every one to sit comfortably while we watch movies. I have a hard time just sitting and watching. I need hand work. As I mentioned in the last post I have a pile of tops needing to be quilted. So I started quilting. I quilted this top for my children’s piano teacher. You can read about how this quilt came to be here. I’ve got the binding sewn on one side and now while we watch movies I can hand sew the other side. I also finished quilting this one. Free pattern for it here. I think I’ll add this to my birthday charity quilts for Trisha‘s challenge.
Well I should be able to watch a few movies while I get these bond. And my pile of unfinished tops will get a little smaller. At least for the moment. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Thanks for stoppinig by!
Hey Em! You go girl!!! Looking good there!!! 😎
Absolutely beautiful!! All of them. So nice to have a sofa that will fit everyone while watching movies.
I love stitching a binding while I'm watching tv! It's so relaxing, and it keeps me warm when the AC's too cool!!
Gorgeous quilts Em, lucky recipients. Nothing better than stitching in front of TV.

What beautiful quilts you created for some very lucky recipients. It is nice to do needlework while watching TV. I used to knit a lot in front of the TV. Enjoy some good family times together.
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous quilts. Hope you are feeling well these days.

Wow, the quilt for your kids' piano teacher turned out gorgeous! I bet she loves it. Yay, on your charity quilt finish! That is so exciting!
Wow! Fantastic finishes! I love it when I am stitching the binding down. Then I know my quilt is finished. Lucky recipents! Nice to have somewhere where the whole family can gather and watch movies.
Smashing! Doesn't the quilting make a difference to a top – I wish magazines gave more attention to it – often their pictures do not show the quilting as perfectly as your picture do.
Good luck with the binding. That is the thing I struggle with the most. I can never get to it.
Lovely Quilts Em..Binding can be relaxing…
cheers
Congrats on the sectional and friend, you're so good about finishing up your quilts! I have to admit to a real love for the quilt that's being gifted to piano teacher. It's a real, true gift and a wonderful story.
I love that peachy-pinky one at the bottom. The simple pattern really shows off the crinkle that is my favorite part of quilts! -Paige from Sew Bee Wonky
