My Talented Friends

I am very blessed, not only do I have friends that are kind, generous, and fun to be with.  They are extremely talented.  In the quilt show at Annual Fest several of them won awards.  This fabulously fun quilt by Lorri won best of show at the Utah State fair.  The only fault the judges found was that they felt the bustle was too big.  I beg to differ.  I wish this picture did Lorri’s work justice.  The detail she put into it with applique and embellishments is phenomenal.

Kaye Evans was in my guild when I first started quilting over 15 years ago.  I have learned so much from her.  The next two quilts are hers.

Don’t you just love her use of Kaffe fabrics.  You should google her name since her blog is not active.  She has some pretty amazing quilts.

Finally this amazing machine quilting is done by Lisa Brothman.  I took a class from Lisa a few years ago and she is so knowledgeable when it comes to machine quilting.  I learned so much and I’m a better quilter today because of her.  You’ll also have to google Lisa.  I promise you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for letting me share the talent of a few of my wonderful friends.  Hope you enjoyed the show.

Thanks for showing some pictures from Quilt Fest. Many of the names are quite familiar to me from years ago when I worked on the State Guild board with those talented ladies. Nice to know they are still active and making wonderful things.
