I’ve had so much fun making this quilt. It was mindless scrappy sewing. It doesn’t get much better than that. A tutorial for making these funky roses can be found here.
I quilted roses in each of the roses and then leaves and vines everywhere else.
I bound it with a blue fabric I found in my stash.
I think it makes a lovely backdrop for my flower/herb garden. I’m lovin’ how well my little garden has done this season and will be sad to see it go. I’m planning on bringing the herbs inside. I was fortunate enough to receive my grandpa’s pots while cleaning out he and grandma’s house. We are getting it ready to sell as grandma has decided it is time to go to a care center.
I’m linking up with Sarah, Cynthia, Myra, and Amanda Jean to celebrate this floral finish.
I like how the quilt has sky and grass colors.
Pretty quilt – good photos. Cleaning out to sell is hard work – good luck!
Very nice. I like the sky and grass look of the blues to green background
Your quilt is adorable, really like a summer garden or meadow!
That turned out so well. I love how the greens fade up into the sky. Very nice.

A very liberated rose garden and so cheery! Kudos on your fine finish!
Your roses are delightful. I want to look at each one closely to see all the fabrics you used. I love the background colors and how they transition from blue to green across the quilt. A perfect quilt!

P.S. Thank you for not using Lighbox because without it I can see close-ups of the quilt and the individual flowers.
