I made soap again this weekend. A lovely rosemary and spearmint soap that smells heavenly.
I also cut up a bunch of lights to go with the texture prints I cut last week. I had a plan for the larger strips. I have visions of a lovely half square triangle quilt. I have to admit I’m looking forward to playing with the layout of this one. Even though it’s not in my color pallet. The rest of the strips were cut for the least amount of waste.
As luck would have it that turned out to work perfectly for another Free Four Allquilt.
So I now have a new leaders and enders project that I mindless sewed on yesterday along with a few other projects I’ll reveal later. While the washing machine did it’s job. (The only household job I’m really good at. If only there were a machine to fold it then I’d really love the laundry.) And my soap cured, smelling like a bit of heaven.

Do you sell the soaps? what a great idea. I love handmade soaps, but they are so expensive in the stores.
It's very good to have a day like this once in a while! I checked out some of your tutorials and really like the idea of using contact paper for quilting designs! I will definitely keep that in mine. I have a question about quilting baptist fans. I have done it before and want to quilt a queen size quilt with them. When you quilt them do you use a walking foot or do it free motion? On my last one I did it free motion and made templates similar to what you did. My problem was that it was hard to get a nice smooth arc while doing it free motion because it's hard to follow the line. But using a walking foot would make it harder because I would have to turn the quilt a lot. Any suggestions?
