At the first part of each year the young women at my church celebrate New Beginnings. At time to welcome the new young women that will come in during the year and to introduce the theme for the year. This year the theme is ‘Come unto Christ and be perfected in Him.’ As a presidency we decided to make each of the girls one of these.
It holds their journal, Personal Progress (a book used to set goals), pencils/pens, and For the Strength of Youth booklet.
It folds up nicely for easy carrying. The pattern can be found here. I made 6 of them. So, I’m linking up with Sarah to give a big Whoop Whoop!
Not only useful and clever but pretty a well.
That,s a great idea and such a nice gift.
How cute and love the chevron!
So sweet!!
What a lovely idea and beautifully done.
I like the zigzag fabric used for this. Good color.
I live this idea! I think I'm going to make one and show it to our YW. Do you mind? I look back a the number of times my daughters lost their books. This is a project that the girls could do as a goal also.
Wow, you do nice things for the girls in your ward. A great way to keep track of all of their books.
Glad you put the pattern to good use! And I LOVE that fabric!
We are doing the same thing! Except I am making all 40! I just make a few more every week…25 to go!
I am going to pass this onto our YW ldrs. Darling!
What a lovely gift for them! blessings, marlene
