When it comes to social settings I really have to work. Parties and meeting new people can be quite stressful for me. I’m a bit of nerd, a little square. But thankfully I have very good friends who are accepting of my quirky nerdiness. On Wednesday, I met with a few of these wonderful friends and together me made a bunch of half square triangles. Kalyn had cut these out a while back from a layer cake and some donated fabric. Shelly sewed them together to make these two lovely quilty hugs.
While Shelly was busy with these beauties, Kalyn cut out these triangles using this method so that Marilyn and I could make these sweet little guys. That Jane was kind enough to press for us. They measure 3 1/2″ and are made from Kona Herb and red, yellow, orange, and green scraps. They look so cute on my design wall. This picture does not do them justice.
Thank you ladies for your beautiful work and for keeping me from being a total square.
You ladies are SO productive – love all those hst's!
HSTs are so versatile. Sounds like productive and fun way to spend a day with your friends.
Love what you busy ladies have done with some HSTs. Beautiful quilts! I finished my flying geese block for last week. Come on over and take a look.
Arent quilty friends the best? How fun!
Aren't friends wonderful? What fun quilts you all made. Congrats.
Simple is best. And I think that for people, too. I'm drawn to people that don't have hidden agendas and are just nice. Like you. So I know how you feel about social stuff. I'm getting more shy as I get older. I saw you on Jan's blog. Love that circle quilt.
