I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend. Although the weather was chilly and we got more snow on Easter we had a lovely weekend. DD went to the city Easter egg hunt and despite freezing her fingers made quite a haul.
On Sunday after my children had found their Easter baskets. The Easter bunny likes to hide them here. We set up N’s quilt and tied it while we watched LDS general conference. Awhile back he told me wanted a quilt with a big fluffy batting in it. I told him I wasn’t messing with a bat that was over an inch thick so he would have to make the quilt himself. So he pulled fabric from my scrap bag and sewed this top. I think he did a pretty good job.
And it was a fun way to spend our Easter that was a little to chilly to enjoy outdoor activities.
You know it is fun to just tie a fluffy quilt now and then. Conference was a bit heavy on the parents I thought. I'm sure it is needed.
I'll bet that will be warm and snug! 🙂
I'm impressed! I can't believe he made that himself!
Em, you might've started something now. If you let those men into your material cupboard, scrap bag or any area they can trespass….you've done for. now you might have to start sharing your materials!!!Eeeek! That's how my boy started…just hunting around my material cupboards, now when we go to Spotlight, Pixie can spend as much money as me in there!! Kind regards, Anita.
It sounds like you had a lovely Easter. I really like how his quilt turned out, too. Is he ready to make another one?:)
Very nice quilt! It's fun to see a tied quilt. My mom used to make them.
Glad you had a pleasant weekend:)
