Yesterday I had a mountain of laundry.  When the kids were home I had set laundry days.  But now that they are gone. hubby and I don’t create enough laundry to warrant two laundry days.  So now I just do it when the hamper overflows.  One of the many adjustments this change has brought about.

So while the washing machine went swish swish, and the dryer tumbled I quilted organic lines in Over the Rainbow.

After auditioning a couple of bindings; a fun stripe, that sadly there was not enough of, I chose a bright green on green stripe.

Fortunately the rain showers took a long enough break I was able to go outside for a fun photo shoot.

All those bright colors popped with the dreary overcast skies.

Making the name Over the Rainbow all that more fitting.

a nice colorful quilt – when I had children at home I had set days for things too – now I do when I feel like – sometimes I liked it better when I knew I always cleaned the house on Monday — or whenever – now I look at the floor at times and wonder when did I last vacuum and where did all that dust come from!

Very sweet! Yay for a finish! It’s a good thing the washer and dryer do most of the work!
