My Grandpa used to say he only liked two kinds of pie, hot and cold. Like him I am a pie lover. Maybe that is why I was so thrilled when Stephanie introduced me to the 45* wedge. It looks just like a piece of pie and oh the yummy things you can do with it. Like this fun quilt I started recently.

I also made these blocks for my BFF exchange

I also tried this spider web block.

I might make it into a quilt like this one found in Freddy & Gwen Collaborate Again. Or I might just make it in a pillow, wall hanging, or something else. Because I really like this setting for spiderweb blocks, found in Material Obsession Two. I can’t figure out how to do it without foundation piecing. If you can figure it out I would appreciate your help.

But for now I’ll just enjoy my piece of pie.

Spiderwebs have been calling my name for a while (and I don't mean the ones in the corner of the sewing room). This just makes their little voices louder.

Bonnie at Quiltville has an easy spiderweb pattern. I'm using a similar pattern but using paper as foundation. No idea how to make a web block without foundation, paper or muslin.
The pie wedge block would be cute made from all the farmers market fruit and veggie fabrics!
Thanks for sharing, I look forward to checking out your bog.
