Every year whenSarah has her H2H I am amazed at the generosity of quilters. These two pines of quilts are just a few that I have received to share with those going through chemo. I know that each of these quilty hugs will bring comfort and love. Thank you to each and everyone one that has helped to make this possible. YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!
Ginger’s hubby, Travis arrived this morning in the Happy Chemo car.
We loaded up the piles of quilts and they are now on their way to bring comfort and love to some very special people.

Wonderful project! Having gone through chemo 2 times and several surgeries (most recently in Jan.), I have seen how this disease can devastate even the strongest person. As I walked through St Mary's Hospital/Mayo Clinic in 2010 after my 3rd surgery there, I went by the Pediatric Infusion Therapy Unit (kids chemo). My heart broke when I saw a dad holding a little blond boy who was about my grandson's age. I went in and asked the nurses if they accepted quilt donations and of course they said yes. I told my husband I was going home to to Kansas to make quilts to bring to the unit whenever I had a follow-up. That has been amazing therapy for me as I provide love to these very brave little people. Anyone can help their local chemo unit.

When my (late) husband went thru radiation and chemo in l999 he had to be in the hospital many times. Mostly for two weeks at a time. I always took a quilt with me to use, as I was provided with very little. On the day we would leave, I would wash and give the quilt to someone before we left. Sometimes it was a patient and sometimes it was one of the hospital staff. We got very good treatment there!! I make quilts for Project Linus now, when I am able.
I see my 2 quilts as well. What wonderful work you do
