I have always loved pineapple quilts. You might say I have a crush on them. Last year I bought a ruler and took a class on how to make this great block. I made one block and it sat in a bin for a year.
Well I took it out recently. I cut a bunch of black centers and assembly lined that bunch into blocks.
Now I have enough to start my walk down lovers lane.
Great blocks Em, and they are so nicely featured on the grass… 😎
I never had made this pattern but I think they makes a very pretty quilt, can't wait to see your finish! HAPPY SEWING!
Nice. Are they paper pieced?
What great blocks Em…love 'em! I have that Pineapple ruler from years and years back. Had the book but sold it to a needy friend. I did make my Autumn Pineapple when I first got it, and a couple of 9 block wall hangings. I had my usual problem with things not matching up, and haven't gone back to make more.
I do love your scrappy one though, and think they will be an awesome quilt. Great pics too! Hugs, Finn
It might be the next new thing. My friend Kim and I are starting a pinapple quilt project. You're ahead of me LOL. Can't wait to see more.
You may not believe this but I've never made a pineapple block. Weird huh. Especially because I like them.
Love your blocks! So colourful and scrappy. I made a pineapple block once using the paper piecing method. I am curious as to how you do them with a special ruler.
Like Nanette… I've never made a pineapple block either….and I love your blocks, need to do this block one day !

Oh they're lovely!!
Well – it must be something in the air! Separated by the Atlantic, but united in sewing tropical Pineapples! I just did one for my sampler quilt!
Can't wait to see more.
