This last weekend I had a little mindless play in my scraps and created these two words.
I made them to go with my vines I made a while back. The vines have been waiting patiently on the design wall waiting for inspiration to hit.
I had done a little sketching trying to figure things out. And while this is a starting point I know this is not going to be the end result.
I still have ideas churning in my head. But I did like the idea of the crow. So I made him.
Here are my pieces so far, waiting once again for those churning ideas to settle down and solidify into a quilt I will love.
At least that is the plan.
This is going to be so lovely–isn't it great when inspiration hits?? Nice work…love that bird and the rick rack…hugs, Julierose
I love projects like this that pretty up the design wall for a while as you contemplate the next step!
Love all the elements you've got up on the design wall. It's going to be a beautiful quilt.
What a fun project to play with for a bit. I love all the scrappy details so far.
That is really going to be a fun quilt, Em. Love that crow!
I love this!
this is so neat, lovely idea, fits perfect together.
Greetings,
Sylvia
I've always loved those vines of yours, but with the words and the crow? Just incredible! Love it!
what a great insight in how you are planning this quilt — or perhaps I should say how spontaneous you are. I like what you have so far. Perhaps some flowers around the edges? Or more plant words — flora, fauna, flower, weeds (ugh) water. Or maybe a watering can. Have fun as you finish this one.
Love watching this one evolve!
Oh, Em, it's marvelous! Please consider a big silly sunflower somewhere. It's already such a happy quilt top!
What a wonderful quilt! Love the crow.
I feel redundant again saying over and over how I love your quilts. But I do, Inspiration seems to be your best friend. What a happy, lovely quilt!
