Pretty pretty fabric

It’s a rainy day so unfortunately the yard work will have to wait and I’ll be forced to play with my pretty pretty fabric.  I know poor me.  ðŸ™‚

I’m working on my next Scrap Squad quilt.  I’ve chosen a basic crayon box of colors; red, yellow, blue, green and orange.  Much to my DD dismay I don’t have a lot of purple in my stash.  So sadly  it won’t be in the quilt.  does anyone else have this problem with purple?  I have looked for it but never find any that truly speaks to me.  That is if I can even find it. I’ve sorted my scrappy finds into darks

 mediums

 and lights

Now I’m ready to play in my cozy sewing room while the rain pitter pats outside.

I am so sorry that you are stuck inside, working with the pretty fabric…poor you!!

Your scrappy finds are much larger than what I have in my scrap basket. Lots of yours would still be on my shelves.
I never have much purple in my stash. I like the more muted shades of purple and they are not always easy to find.

Have fun…I really miss not being on the Scrap Squad. Can't wait to see what the quilt will look like. Hugs

It might be dreary outside, but with your fabric choices it looks very bright and cheery inside! Have a great day with your scraps. I can't wait to see the quilt you make out of these.

I have a terrible time finding purple I like too! Of course I generally go for the browned down purples, but still.:) Will be looking forward to your next wonderful scrap quilt!

Whenever I see a purple I like u try to buy a little bit of it, just because a girl never knows when she'll need a purply something. I love your happy assortment of fabrics.

Love the colors you've chosen, but I do think the gathering is crying out for some purple. Send me your address, and I'll send you some of mine.
    Hugs

I think I can remember what rain looks like 🙂 Here in Arizona we rarely see it, except around July when the Monsoon season brings summer rains. Enjoy your sew day.

Just the right purple is good to have for making Fall quilts – spikes up the orange.gold.browns.

My DD is a huge purple fan. I have lots of purple in my stash. He goes shopping with me a I usually leave with at least one purple fq. Now orange is the color I don't have much of.

I too have a purple problem. I made a scrappy mystery top at the start of the year and realized it was the one color that I rarely stash. I did buy a few pieces before starting that quilt and since then have tried to add a few new values of it each time I go shopping. Don't know when I'll use them but I am glad to round out my stash.

Look forward to seeing your next Scrap Squad entry on the QM/QP blog! In that first picture, is that one of the Polka Dot selections from Erica's Spring Basket event?
