Puzzle Solved

By September 10, 2008March 31st, 2020Blog

Sorry this is not a very good picture. I had to take it at night when the light was not good otherwise I would not have someone to hold it up for me. After working on this for the past three years I am thrilled with how it has turned out. Now I have to figure out how I will quilt it. I must of miscommunicated yesterday I was not fishing for compliments on my quilts by asking which you liked best. I was wondering which quilts you liked to make first. Wanted to clear that up lest you think me a little snobbish.

I love the border on your quilt. Let me rephrase this. I love your quilt but your border really jumps out at me. It is awesome:)

Congratulations! It looks super. What about a simple back and forth ripple (sort of really laterally extended S and Z shapes) in the sky and water for waves/clouds, and then outlining for the “objects”?

Nothing feels quite like a quilt completed! Loved yours and the border is smashing.

Your reunion quilt turned out great and I really do like that border. Deciding how to quilt is always a challenge for me too. I tend to go for some type of “straight line” quilting that I can use my walking foot to do, s free motion is so hard to get the tension right and the stitches even/ Good luck and will be anxious to see what you decide.

Congrats on finishing the quilt top! Give yourself a big pat on the back for a job well done. I too am partial to log cabin quilts; the first big quilt (3rd quilt I had ever made) I made was a log cabin for my king size bed.
