Quilty Hug Finishes

It’s been a good week. I was able to baste a couple of those quilty hugs I got backs for over the Fourth of July weekend. Not only baste but I got two of them quilted and bound. First this scrappy little charm quilt.

Next this sweet heart quilt made from donated blocks that we added sashing to. Some of the hearts had decorative stitching around the edges others were just fused on. I choose to quilt with a tight stipple to make sure the hearts were stitched down well.

In addition to finishing up quilty hugs I met with a couple of friends for lunch. I have known these lovely ladies since elementary school. We make it a priority to get together for a birthday lunch every year. We all have birthday in May or June so we’re a little late this year but better late than never.

It’s so great to have a lifetime of memories with such wonderful women. Here’s to many more! Linking up with Sarah, Amanda Jean and Cynthia.

The heart quilt is so cute. I meet up this friends from high school (class of 1974 Yikes that was a longtime ago). We've moved from lunch/dinner to vacations. It is so great to spend time together and just leave life behind and relax.
